Google censors Charlie Sheen on YouTube
It is common knowledge that Google complies with the laws in various countries and censors the search results in their search engine. Google censors hundreds of millions of web pages in China. Anything that the Chinese government doesn’t like – whether it’s politics, violence or pornography is omitted from a Google search result. Less known is that Google censors “White Power” and Holocaust Revisionism sites in some countries. In principle, Google complies with local laws in deciding which pages to display.
Google also censors sites in response to court orders, Copyright complaints, search engine SPAM, child pornography, malware etc. All of the above makes sense. Google has to comply with applicable law, regardless of their political views or desire to keep their search engine unbiased. Google’s slogan is: “Don’t be evil” and until recently they appeared to do their best to comply with that credo.
This changed with the advent of 9/11 Truth activism videos on YouTube and Google Video. when they first appeared, they got millions of views and that stayed that way over many months. This kept them on the front pages of YouTube. And when clips were sorted by popularity on Google Video, Loose Change, Zeitgeist and many other 9/11 documentaries occupied half of the first result page.
This changed abruptly, some years ago. Suddenly these wildly popular movies were nowhere to be found on Google’s video sites. A clip would show up occasionally, only to be buried quickly in an endless barrage of Farts on Fire and celebrity boobs. Strange things were happening. Something was wrong. A good example of Google’s stepped-up censorship of “subversive” content is Charlie Sheens excellent “Letter to Obama”, a short, explosive clip highlighting the preposterous Official Conspiracy Theory of 9/11, that of “Osama Bin Laden and his nineteen terrorists”.
Total Google blackout on “sensitive” clips
The anomaly: Even though those videos had millions of views (because thousands of forums and sites linked to them), Google kept resetting or freezing their view counter to a tiny fraction of that – effectively making them disappear. Google started to pretend that extremely popular video’s did not exist. They could only be found by typing their exact title in the search box. That Google does this is beyond doubt, as there exist many independently taken and -verified screenshots of view counts, followed by a much smaller view count. Other indications that Google does this is the fact that the number of comments is sometimes higher than the view count.
There are other ways of sorting video clips on YouTube. According to ratings, for example. Google’s censorship of 9/11 Truth clips did not work effectively because resetting the view counters to some random number below 50 000 did not get rid of the extremely high ratings those millions of viewers gave the clips and documentaries. Sorting by rating would still show movies by Aaron Russo and Alex Jones, movies like Zero and In Plane Site. Google keeps refining their censorship of movies that show that everything about 9/11 stinks to high heaven, and now they disable the ranking for such movies they apparently deem objectionable or otherwise incompatible with their business objectives. Not only that – Google also mass-deletes hundreds of comments on video’s they want to suppress. This will make the clip not show up in a search for most commented videos.
Google has also been accused of throttling bandwith to those clips. If they load so slow that nobody can watch them, then they don’t even need to reset the view counter and disable the ratings indicator! Very clever, and nearly impossible to prove they do this deliberately.
Google’s political agenda
Google follows a clear political agenda in their selection of movies they censor. When Ron Paul ran for President, his clips were given the “9/11 truth treatment”. Google’s political agenda obviously is to support the Powers That Be. Google’s founders are Jewish and some evil tongues have suggested that’s why they suppress any investigation into 9/11 or abolishing the FED. We think it would be good to prove these allegations are unfounded by stopping the censorship or at least explaining how it’s possible that these kind of clips are the only clips suffering from “reset-opathy” and “disabled-itis”. The same evil tongues keep rubbing our noses into the fact that “No israeli’s died on 9/11“, the Odigo mystery, the fact that at great expense, ZIM moved out of the WTC days before 9/11, and of course the case of the Dancing Israeli’s. Are and Larry Page & Sergey Brin in the same billionaire’s club as Larry Silverstein?
Boycot Google
Google is one of the largest multinational corporations. It is faceless and arrogant even to its own customers – never answering support questions, relying on canned auto-responses instead. Money clearly is their sole objective. It is in bed with governments worldwide and it “owns” the Internet, often using questionable means such as violating authors’ Copyright. Google’s toolbar watches your every move online, storing your interests in a database that Google refuses to ever purge. Now, Google merely targets advertizing towards your interests. New year, who knows. If the law in any country says that Google has to hand over their records of you to the government, Google will immediately comply, as they have done before in getting bloggers arrested. Google is not going to “not be evil” for long if we don’t give a strong signal that its behavior is unacceptable. If you run AdSense or AdWords, you can make a statement by suspending them for a while and inform Google of that. Tell them you’ll start using their competitor if they don’t clean up their act.
With their recent covert politically-motivated censorship, Google has proven not to be worthy of our trust. There is only one solution: Google has to be taught a lesson their shareholders will never forget.
